Mandrel

This command allows you to create a circle, an open extrusion or a closed cilynder with a diameter corresponding to mean international ring sizes. You can choose nationality.

Will be created automatically  :

1) a parent layer which name means “ring size” in the language you can set in the easyjewels3d genric preferences (you can edit with Ej_preferences command)

2) a son layer which indicates if you built a circle , an extrusion or a cilynder and which name is its size in mm and the nationality ring size selected in the command.

Curve on Polysurface - Mesh

Those commands allows to create or edit a curve lying on a polysurface or mesh.

With left mouse button you can create it, with right you can edit

Here below you can see two video

Insert Gems

This command allows you to insert real shape stones .

We call them gems to distinguish from design stones . Gems are good for rendering but heavy as memory because they are real stones while stones (like round revolution ones) are lighter and good for planning but not for rendering

You can find the most used gems in jewellery and you can choose clicking on the corresponding button in the command form.

you can orient them on surface, polysurface, mesh or you can create at axys origin.

you can change dimension with sliders or textboxes and you will find a padlock in the command form.If you activate the padlock and you change one of the 3 dimension the other will follow so you can have a 3d scale.

you can choose table or girdle insertion height and for each you can choose insertion height

you can invert the inserting gem direction with the slider. this is useful when you insert on a surface and you do not want to change surface direction

you can rotate gems with the round slider or inserting degrees.

shortcuts are indicated in rhinoceros command line while inserting

you can delete last inserted gem ( while inserting) with the right shortcut

while inserting you can visualize gems data bottom right in rhinoceros views. you can activate or disactivate this option double clicking on the form

Remember to confirm textboxes values by pressing “enter”

Holes Generator (mod)

This tool allows you to insert elements for holes following the profile of the stones that have been included in the project.
you can use with round stones, shape stones, or any object with at least one planar face and managing it as if it was a gem.
This then makes it compatible with other plugin already on the market.

Possibility of

1) separation of the hole in the top and bottom, viewing, editing and creation of separate or connected

2) make the rounds of the bottom of the holes of round stones

3) selection of many stones on which make the holes but display of one element for type so as to allow a lighter and faster modification of the basic dimensions .

4) changes size in mm or in% in real-time by slider or entering values in the textbox, both on the top, bottom, both

5) adding and deleting objects on which make holes in real time

6) import and export of holes types to allow the creation of a customizable library

7) ability to select or import a curve that gives its shape to the bottom of the hole to allow update details

8) the possibility of rotation of the profiles of the upper hole and lower

9) creation of the holes on levels nominated

Sweep Complex

This command allows to create a sweep from a curve and a set of  sections.

The sections can be imported or selected in the document.

You can choose their position along the curve.

You can rotate them before positioning.

We recommend to use our sections and profiles because they are meant to be easily, quickly and efficiently edited with rhino gumball.

If you have created a sweep with this command you can use “Ej_EditComplexSweep” command too, an advanced editor that allows you to transform your complex sweep  without having to redo all the work of selection and placement of curves and sections

Wedding Band

This command allows to create a ring from a CIRCLE ( indicating the finger size) and from a SECTION.

To select the SECTION there are two options:

1)”Import”opens a dialogue form  with our existing SECTIONS.

2)”select” allows to select a profile curve in the active document.

We recommend to use our sections and profiles because they are meant to be easily, quickly and efficiently edited with rhino gumball.

Mirrored Curve

This command allows to create a mirrored curve .

You can mirror it according to :

1) One of the view ortogonal axes or an axes  customizable from 0 to  360 degrees

2) a plane along a curve

3) a plane oriented on Surface or Polisurface, with the chance of beeing projected

Insert Round Stones

This command allows to insert round stones oriented on a surface, a polysurface or a mesh

1) you can change stone diameter (“b” or “e” or textbox or brill buttons) ,distance between stones (a) , inserting height (i). If you use the textbox remember to confirm values by pressing “enter”

2) there are 10 brill shape buttons (b) . they have a minimum and a maximum you can change using slider (c). Last position of c (when selected brill buttons become orange – red) is dedicated to customizable sizes  ( to customize it you can use Ej_RoundStoneSizeTab command)

3)you can choose to insert stones table or girdle height (d)

4)you can invert stone direction (g). This option is very useful when you orient on surface and you do not want to change surface direction.

5) you can visualize stones data while orienting bottom of the form (h) or close to mouse arrow or bottom right in rhinoceros views. If you double click the form you can activate or disactivate data visualization in rhinoceros views

6) you can change the colurs of layers with 4  customizable sets (c) .With Ej_RoundStonesColoursTab command you can set colours for each diameter and you can use automatic color shades too

7)you can use shortcuts to change data and you have their description in rhinoceros command line

8)you can change visualized data close the mouse arrow by pressing the corresponding shotcut

8)you can delete last inserted stone while inserting by pressing the corresponding shotcut

9)the created stones have a parent layer and each son layer indicates diameter in mm , sieve and wheight in kt

10)if rhinoceros histoy is active and update options on you can use a remapping history when you transform someway the stone support object

Insert Prongs

This tool allows you to insert the tips to improve the timing for embedding.

Simple interface comprising sections most used in jewelry.

you can choose different types of prongs and scale in three dimensions or choose your own prong previously created with the appropriate command.

you can select prongs already present in the document and then direct them comfortably without having to waste time looking for the same type and size.

you can choose a high insertion not to be confused with the depth that can never be zero or negative.

you can reset the current prong in the sense that we take the measure of the current width indicated in the appropriate text box to resize height and depth in relation to the proportions based on the type of prong in question.

you can rotate the prong with the slider or by entering the degrees in the text box.

always remember to confirm the values entered in the text boxes by pressing “enter”

Insert round holes

This command allows you to create round holes from a selection of stones. It works with shape stones too.

The object created with this tool follow the parent.

Curve around stones

This command creates a curve arount a selection of stones

We recommend to use our sections and profiles because they are meant to be easily, quickly and efficiently edited with rhino gumball.

If you have edited a sweep with this command you can use “Ej_EditComplexSweep” command again

This command allows to move a curve along a section perpendicularly to this last.

If some history of building exists , moving section with this command will not break history.
